摘要

網際網路允許匿名發訊,且可向公眾傳播等特性,助長了謠言(rumors,或可譯為流言)的傳播與影響能力,使得網路上出現謠言變成是件司空見慣的事。過去的謠言流傳多仰賴口語傳播,散播廣度有限,影響範圍多侷限在某些特定的地理區域。然而,經由網際網路的快速孕育與擴散,謠言的影響力已經和網際網路一樣無遠弗屆,快速地擴及到每一處擁有電腦網路的地方。網路的諸多特性,利於謠言的傳播,而謠言確實也廣見於網際網路中。為了解網路謠言的特性,以利於對此課題有所了解,俾便後續相關研究,本研究將針對網路謠言的相關背景理論與案例,進行探索,並以「內容分析法」,針對流傳於國內的95則網路謠言,進行分析與探討,了解網路所流傳謠言的現況與謠言指涉內容輪廓。

Abstract

Due to the characteristics of allowing anonymous users on Internet to send messages and spread to the public make an environment incubating enormous rumors. It is not an unusual event that rumors appear on the Internet. In the past, rumors need word of mouth to spread. This restricts the diffusion of rumors. However, rumors are as popular as Internet and now they could be found in all place having computers because of the rapid development of Internet. Many attributions of Internet could help the dispersing of rumors. It is worth for conducting studies for this issue. This study explored the related theory background and cases of Internet rumors. After that, this study collected 95 cases of Internet rumors in Taiwan and used content analysis to describe the profiles of Internet rumors. This would be useful for understanding the overall situations of Internet rumors in Taiwan.
